Qualcomm is set to host its annual event — the Snapdragon Summit which will be held between November 15 and November 17. The US-based chipmaker is expected to launch the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset (model number SM8550) at this event.
However, phone makers are already planning to use Qualcomm’s upcoming premium SoC months before its release. A tipster named Digital Chat Station has reported such rumoured plans about OnePlus on Weibo.
The Chinese phone maker is speculated to be one of the first brands to consider the upcoming chipset for its next-generational flagship smartphone.
Moreover, the OnePlus phone that will reportedly feature the upcoming Snapdragon processor is expected to be named — OnePlus 11 Pro — as the company did not add a vanilla OnePlus 10 to this year’s lineup.
Meanwhile, OnePlus has not shared any official details about the upcoming smartphones — name, lanuch date and key specifications. More information is expected to surface in the upcoming days.
