The 4 Seasons of Netflix Is Here — And We’re Kinda too
So like… imagine a show that doesn’t just stick to one boring theme or vibe. Instead, it rides the emotional rollercoaster of the year — literally. That’s The 4 Seasons for ya. And no, not the hotel chain 💀 — we’re talkin’ about the brand-new upcoming series that’s all about life, growth, chaos, and vibes — told through the lens of the four seasons. Each one’s gonna hit different, and I’m lowkey hyped.
So yeah… I watched The 4 Seasons. And honestly? I’m still emotionally recovering.
I went into this show expecting some aesthetic fluff and seasonal vibes — maybe a few moodboards and a soft indie playlist or whatever. But no. This show came for my soul. It’s like they peeked inside my journal, grabbed all my messy thoughts, and sprinkled them across four chapters of cinematic pain and growth.
And somehow… I liked it?
☀️ The Vibe Shift Is Real
Each “season” (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) is its own standalone story — new characters, new tone, new emotional gut-punches. But what ties them together isn’t just the passing of time — it’s this deep, underlying sense of being alive. Like, painfully alive.
Spring was all about fresh starts, but not in a cheesy rom-com way. More like… trying to force a new version of yourself after heartbreak and realizing healing isn’t linear. The main character was journaling, meditating, and ignoring all their actual problems — relatable.
Summer? Straight chaos. Passion, heat, self-destruction in a hot pink filter. It gave Euphoria energy but without the glitter and more emotional realism. The party scenes were wild, but the emotional breakdown in the bathroom hit harder.
Autumn had me in shambles. The whole episode was soaked in nostalgia. Dead leaves, fading friendships, people slowly slipping away from each other’s lives. That quiet kind of sad. The kind that doesn’t scream — it just sits there. Ugh.
And then Winter… bro. I was not okay. Loneliness, reflection, forgiveness — all packed into one slow, snowy spiral. It was cold, it was raw, and it was so honest. They nailed the quiet pain of drifting from yourself and learning how to come back.
🎧 The Soundtrack? Certified No-Skip.
Whoever curated the music deserves a raise. The Spring arc had soft acoustic stuff, Summer brought in chaotic energy with Doja and some alt-pop bangers, Autumn dropped indie sad girl energy (yes, I heard Phoebe Bridgers and immediately cried), and Winter had haunting piano and minimalism that felt like breathing in the cold.
Every track was like: “Hey, here’s a song to ruin your whole week. You’re welcome.”
🧍The Characters Felt… Too Real
None of them were perfect. Some were straight-up annoying. But that’s what made them work. They felt like people you’ve met — or maybe even like a version of you from some past season of your life. The Spring girl ghosting her therapist? Been there. The guy in Summer pretending confidence while spiraling? Also been there.
I felt seen and called out. A dangerous combo tbh.
❌ What Didn’t Work?
Okay, let’s be real — not everything was flawless. A couple of monologues were trying to be deep but ended up sounding like Tumblr quotes from 2014. And yeah, sometimes the pacing dragged (especially in Winter). But even then, the slowness kinda matched the seasonal vibe. So like… I get it, but also I was checking my phone once or twice ngl.
Also, if I had to see one more person staring out a rainy window in slow motion, I was gonna lose it. We get it. You’re sad.
🍵 Final Thoughts? She’s a Sleeper Hit
The 4 Seasons isn’t a loud, flashy series. It doesn’t scream “watch me” with overhyped trailers or TikTok trends. It just exists — soft, emotional, and beautifully crafted. And if you let yourself sit with it, really sit with it… it’ll get under your skin in the best way.
It’s giving emotional reset. It’s giving seasonal soul-searching. It’s giving “I didn’t know I needed this until I watched it.”
If you’ve ever felt stuck, lost, nostalgic, hopeful, or just straight-up emotionally fried — this show is for you.
Just don’t forget the tissues. And maybe call your therapist after.
