Spider Man

Hello, Spidey fam 👋

If you’re still recovering from Spider Man Across the Spider-Verse cliffhanger — same. I was literally left staring at the screen like, “Yo, that’s it?!” But good news? The next installment, Spider Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is already hyped to be the most mind-bending, multiverse-hopping, emotionally chaotic ride yet.

Even though the release got pushed back and the suspense is killing all of us, let’s dive deep into what we might see, what I low-key hope they add, and why this could be the peak of the entire Spider-Verse trilogy.

🔮 The Multiverse Is Kinda Broken… Again?

Let’s be real: Across the Spider-Verse ended on a wild note. Miles lands in Earth-42, which isn’t even his home universe — and boom, he meets the Prowler version of himself. Yeah, Miles is the villain in that universe. Like what?! That twist was mad unexpected, and it changed the whole vibe of the franchise.

So in Beyond the Spider-Verse, we can kinda expect:

  • A huge Miles vs. Miles showdown

  • Gwen assembling her own mini-Spidey team to save him

  • Miguel O’Hara (aka Spider-Man 2099) having an even darker role

  • A deeper dive into the “canon events” and whether fate can really be changed

Not gonna lie, it feels like we’re heading into Endgame-level emotional drama, just with a lot more style, color, and Spider-People.

🧠 What I Loved About This Whole Trilogy

Okay, so here’s the thing — Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse were not just bangers, they redefined animation. And not just the looks, but the storytelling, the character growth, the feels — everything hit different.

Here’s what I’m already loving and expecting from Beyond the Spider-Verse:

  • Miles’ evolution: From shy Brooklyn kid to someone who challenges the entire multiverse system? That arc is kinda legendary.

  • Art styles blending: Like, every character has their own animation vibe. Gwen’s watercolor world? Fire. Spider-Punk’s zine-inspired style? Iconic.

  • Depth of the story: This ain’t just about “good guy beats bad guy.” It’s about identity, expectations, trauma, and breaking free from destiny.

Also, Spider-Cat and Spider-T-Rex? They better show up again. No questions asked.

👎 What I Didn’t Really Like

Okay, don’t cancel me, but as much as I adore these films, there are a few things I’m hoping they clean up in the next one:

  • Pacing: Across the Spider-Verse was kinda chaotic at times. It jumped from world to world like rapid fire, and not gonna lie, some scenes felt rushed.

  • Side character depth: We saw SO many cool Spideys, but barely got to know them. Like Pavitr Prabhakar? That dude has potential. I need more screen time with him and his cool hair.

  • Cliffhanger ending: I get it was necessary for suspense, but dang, that abrupt stop? It hurt. Emotionally and spiritually 💔.

✨ What Should’ve Been There Instead

Now, hear me out. These are just fan dreams but they’d be such cool additions:

  • Peter Parker reunion: An emotional scene between Miles and Earth-616 Peter (the classic one) could be a tearjerker.

  • More backstory for Miguel O’Hara: Bro came in swinging, literally and emotionally, but we still don’t fully get him. A flashback episode? Yes, please.

  • Unexpected villains: I’m talkin’ about deep cuts like Morlun and the Inheritors. They feed off Spider energy. Wouldn’t that raise the stakes way higher?

Also, where’s my live-action crossover tease? We know it’s possible now with the multiverse cracking open. Give me Tom Holland or Andrew Garfield even for a second and the internet’s gonna melt.

🙅‍♂️ What They Shouldn’t Do

A few things the creators should avoid to keep this trilogy GOATed:

  • Over-explaining the multiverse: Keep it simple. Let the chaos be part of the fun.

  • Too many cameos: Don’t make it like Multiverse of Madness where it’s all about “look who’s here!” Keep it meaningful.

  • Cringe humor: The first two movies balanced jokes and emotion so well. Please, no forced Gen Z slang just to be relatable. Let it flow naturally.

🕸️ Fan Theories That Kinda Slap

Alright, let’s go full conspiracy mode. These theories are floating around the fandom and honestly, they don’t sound too wild:

  1. Miles will break the Spider Society system and create his own timeline that doesn’t rely on tragic canon events.

  2. Prowler-Miles will join forces with our Miles for a redemption arc. Like a reverse Venom moment.

  3. Spider-Gwen and Miles romance subplot is gonna go full send. We deserve that cute closure.

  4. Peter B. Parker might die. I hate it. I reject it. But it’s on the table and I’m scared.

💭 Final Thoughts – Why This Could Be a Cultural Reset

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse isn’t just another superhero sequel — it has the potential to be the moment. The kind of film that gets discussed for years, studied for its animation, and quoted by every Gen Z kid who grew up with Miles Morales.

The vibes, the visuals, the voice acting, and the storylines are all aligning for a possible masterpiece. If they stick the landing, this could become the best Spider-Man story ever told.

Like, no cap, we’re not ready.

📝 Summary at a Glance

  • What I loved: Animation, character arcs, music, vibes

  • What I didn’t: Pacing issues, lack of depth for some side Spideys

  • What should be added: More lore, emotional reunions, new villains

  • What should be avoided: Overload of cameos, bad humor, too much explanation
